(Queen's Park) -  After a letter to the editor appeared in the Windsor Star that alleged a Liberal MPP was denying their constituents a voice in the HST debate, PC Revenue Critic Lisa MacLeod is offering those Windsor residents opposed to the $3 Billion Liberal tax grab access to petitions at her Queen's Park office.

"Constituency offices should be open to all constituents regardless of political affiliation or whether those constituents oppose or support government policies.  I'm disappointed that a Liberal government MPP would turn away their constituents simply because they disagree with them.  I'll happily make petitions available from my office because I won't let the Liberals shut anyone else out of this debate," said MacLeod.

According to the letter written by Margaret Murphy, her MPP's office refused to allow her to sign a petition opposing the HST because the bill had passed.

"The PC Caucus is going to continue our opposition to the $3 Billion Liberal tax grab and Windsor residents are welcome to join our fight.  The Liberals may wish the HST debate was over, but I can assure them, we are far from finished with debating this issue," said MacLeod.

MacLeod invites concerned Windsor residents to visit www.lisamacleod.com or www.daltonsalestax.com and sign the HST petition.
