MPP Lisa MacLeod’s Canada 150th Community Picnic

Join MPP MacLeod and your fellow neighbours for a free community picnic in honour of Canada’s 150th! MPP MacLeod will provide free “Canadian” food including poutine, hamburgers and hot dogs and encourages everyone to bring a dish from their family or cultural background to share with your neighbours! Residents are encouraged bring their own decorated portable table to be part of “Most Creative and Patriotic Table”. There will be a two hour multicultural stage offering entertainment and will serve as the location to announce the Nepean-Carleton 150 Inspiration Awards (to learn more about the inspiration awards click here).  A patriotic Canada themed photo booth will be set up, face painting, henna and painting in the park will be encouraged as will sporting activities such as volleyball, rugby and baseball.We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Barrhaven and FAMSAC Food Cupboards!
